Fuel Polishing

Fuel polishing is the process of cleaning and conditioning stored diesel or heating oil by removing water, sediment, microbial growth, and other contaminants that can degrade fuel quality over time. This process is particularly important for standby systems, such as backup generators and heating systems, where fuel may sit unused for extended periods. Contaminated fuel can lead to clogged filters, engine damage, or system failure, especially during critical operations. Regular fuel polishing ensures that the fuel remains clean and reliable, extending the life of the equipment and preventing costly downtime.
